Trucking Accident Due To Pork Rinds

by brettb on July 13, 2010

We all know that driving while texting or talking on a cell phone can increase your chances of an accident.  And, here at San Jose Personal Injury Attorney blog we have discussed the dangers of being distracted while driving from such devices – see personal injury victims and cell phones.

But one thing we have not commented on before is the danger of a personal injury accident resulting from pork rind.
As reported by the San Jose Mercury News, a FedEx tractor-trailer rig was involved in a trucking accident due to the driver chocking on some spicy pork rinds.  Apparently, the driver lost control of his truck on an interstate while chocking on the rinds.  The truck jackknifed and came to a stop in a ditch.

According to the San Jose paper, the rig was southbound coming from the Canadian border on Monday when he began choking and veered from the southbound lanes on Interstate 5.

According to authorities, the driver was the only individual to suffer minor injuries and no other cars or trucks were involved in the accident.
