According to recent data released, BP has paid approximately 28% of claims for damages since the Gulf oil spill.
This data was analyzed and reported on by ProPublica and it shows an alarming picture of how injury victims are fairing in the claims process with BP. Next month (August) Kenneth Feinberg takes over the claims process and is in charge of administering the $20 billion fund designed to compensate claimants for their injuries related to the spill.
